HEROES: "KINDRED"

NBC has released 10 images from "Kindred," the Monday, Oct. 8 episode of Heroes.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Upon his return to New York, Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is unnerved to find an undiscovered Issac Mendez painting that foretells death of someone close to him. Both Claire (Hayden Panettiere) and H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) pursue their own secret personal agendas. Determined to make it to the U.S., Maya (Dania Ramirez) uses her deadly abilities to free Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) from a Mexican jail. Ando (James Kyson Lee) returns to his job in Japan and makes a happy discovery.

"Meanwhile, in Japanšs past, just when Hiro (Masi Oka) had written off Kensei (David Anders), his childhood hero surprises him. Niki (Ali Larter) and Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) leave Las Vegas in an attempt to start over. Later, Niki and a lost Hero individually strike shady bargains to reach their goals. Two familiar people with abilities make an unexpected return."

IMAGE COMICS RESOLICITS CAPTAIN VICTORY

Image Comics has announced that it is resoliciting the Captain Victory hardover, the latest in its line of creator-owned Jack Kirby stories, until the first quarter of 2008.

According to Image, the decision to hold off the release was made until a proper restoration can be completed.

"The last thing we want to do is release an inferior version of this material," said Eric Stephenson, executive director of Image Comics. "The more involved we've gotten in the restoration process, the more obvious it has become that the files and art we're working simply aren't up to par with those used for Silver Star. Faced with the decision to either complete a sub-standard edition or do this with the care and fine attention to detail it deserves, we've decided to push the book's release back."

Image is putting out a call to all art collectors who in possession of Kirby's original pages. Anyone with access to original Captain Victory artwork is encouraged to e-mail Image Comics via info@imagecomics.com.

"With Silver Star, John Morrow at TwoMorrows supplied with near-perfect scans of the original pages," Stephenson said. "Unfortunately, it's been much harder to track down everything we need for Captain Victory. Nothing beats the quality of scans of Jack's untouched work. Anyone with access to those pages can help us ensure this will be the best hardcover possible."

The 376-page book will be priced at $44.99.
